For all the beauty and the openness they have, the Xalteans take their oath extremely serious. For as gorgeous as they are, they can be quite vicious. Henry gets a peak at that side of them.

I would have a problem with this one. Guess that voluntary slavery wouldn't apply here.

It depends on the situation. Though much of their oaths are voluntarily, they are expected to keep to that oath until their time of service is done. To violate the oath is worse than murder especially for the military. Wonder what Henry is gonna do.
